The Farm

​Slip Away Farm is a flower and vegetable farm located on Chappaquiddick, a little island separated from Martha’s Vineyard by a 527-foot ferry ride. We recognize and honor that the land we farm is the ancestral and contemporary homeland of the Chappaquiddick Wampanoag tribe.

The Farm Stand 

Our farm stand is located in the original Chappaquiddick  Schoolhouse and is open in season Wednesday - Saturday.

​Our Story 

​Slip Away is a woman-owned business, started by Lily Walter in 2012. 

Lily grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and followed her family to the Island when they relocated for her father's career. After dreaming of starting her own farm, she landed a lease with Martha's Vineyard Land Bank and Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust to begin Slip Away Farm on Chappy. 

Many years later, Lily is now married to her husband, Ian Peach. Together, they have two children.
